Mitel has landed a #6 million pound contract with accountancy firm Ernst & Young. The deal will see 27 Mitel SX-2000 PBXs and two internal call centres set up for the consultancy's 6,500 UK staff. One of the call centres will be an internal IT help desk. Mitel will also provide maintenance for the system for three years, 24-hour helpdesk support, on-site assistance and training. Ernst & Young's deal with Mitel is part of the firm's ongoing telecoms upgrade, which has included the development of a national virtual private network.
