Siemens is to offer relocation employment to 100 of the 1,100 staff facing redundancy at its Tyneside semiconductor plant. In August the German company announced the closure of the plant and has said that a number of staff will be offered jobs at other Siemens sites in the US, Taiwan, Germany, Austria and Portugal.
