Montal has launched a new Raid server aimed at small businesses and corporate departmental users.
The entry-level Powerline miniRaid server is a single processor machine featuring hot swappable disks and Global Array Manager, software allowing remote monitoring of the system.
Running on a Pentium II 300MHz chip, the server also comes with 64Mb of RAM, a Raid 5 disk system, 100Mbps networking, twin hot-swappable power supplier and up to 18Gb data storage. Windows NT Server 4.0 is bundled with the system, as is Intel LANDesk client manager software.
The Powerline miniRaid also comes with a new three-year warranty, with the first year on-site, meaning that Montal will maintain the servers nationwide free of charge. An extra full hardware maintenance service with four- or eight-hour response time is also on offer.
Pricing for the Powerline miniRaid starts at #5,150.
