A company specialising in introducing US technology to Europe and run by industry veterans Bill Butt and Tony Bassett, has won a deal with Bay Networks.
The company, International Business Channel (IBC), which started three months ago, will now promote Bay's Instant Internet to the UK and European channel.
Butt was formerly European sales director for Shiva while Bassett has experience in a number of networking companies, including startups.
The product set is Bay's answer to the small and medium enterprise market and according to Bassett, will provide both dial up and ISDN connections.
Said Bay Networks' regional business manager David Parker: "Working with IBC reinforces our solid commitment to the channel."
Last week Ramp Networks, a small Californian startup, said that it could provide a way for small and medium enterprises to access the Internet and said the so-called "big three" could not compete.
