Junk email company Cyber Promotions was blocked from sending unsolicited messages to customers of the Compuserve or Earthlink online services. Tuesday's decisions in courts in California and Ohio echoed an earlier victory for America Online, which also prevented Cyber Promotions from mailing its subscribers. The email company also had to pay $65,000 in fees to Compuserve, which obtained a permanent ban.
