Motorola has signed to use Java in its chips, smartcards and mobile phones, in the biggest Java licensing deal Sun Microsystems has closed to date. The financial terms of the deal were not revealed but Motorola said its expertise in comms and embedded systems will help promote Java?s use. Sun Microsystems chief executive Scott McNealy said he wants Java in as many products as possible.
