Services giant Electronic Data Systems has won a #300 million contract with British Petroleum to be its sole desktop IT supplier. The contract, the latest in a recent string of big outsourcing wins for EDS, covers all desktop services for BP's 13,000 desktops in the UK, and will be progressively rolled out to the oil major's operations in 142 other countries.
