Network technology vendor Spirent is establishing a UK reseller channel to sell the crash-test simulation products it launched last week.
The company has had 30 European distributors for some time, but feels it has established a track record to justify its new channel sales strategy.
And with Avalanche and Reflector going to market, the company is courting UK technology resellers to increase its sales and brand awareness.
The tools are aimed at simulating more realistic tests in the increase of email, web or streaming traffic, as well as the threat of denial-of-service attacks or email viruses.
"Our products can test [your infrastructure] to destruction," said David Hill, EMEA vice president of Spirent's performance analysis organisation.
"This is an opportunity for resellers to sell services associated with testing network infrastructures and the requirements for equipment testing, as well as selling our hardware."
Antony Marcano, principal consultant at eTest Associates UK, said: "In terms of its features this is not entirely unique. But a product of this type should sort out numerous problems associated with load testing."
Spirent is presently courting all UK resellers while recruiting a European channel manager.
