Many US retailers said they sold out of the new Apple iMac machine this week and the company says it will ship new stocks to dealers this weekend. "The iMac has been the biggest computer launch we've seen in our history," said Jim Halpin, president of retail chain CompuUSA, one of the greatest supporters of the new translucent, consumer oriented machine. However, CompuUSA would not give more specific sales figures than "thousands".
