VideoServer will expand its Encounter NetServer conferencing product line next month with a product that bridges the voice and data worlds.
The $2,000 (#1198)-per-port Encounter NetServer ADX 1000 will accommodate both telephone audio conferences using analog voice phone lines and IP-based video conferencing and collaboration. The ADX 1000 is based on the same technology as other VideoServer devices. In a single conference, the ADX 1000 will scale to support 48 users, each of whom can be in a different geographic location. The ADX 1000 also includes Web-based scheduling software and data collaboration software using the T.120 standard.
