Novell has upgraded its Ximian Desktop 2, adding support for the latest editions of client software from SuSE Linux.
The latest release of the enterprise Linux desktop, which Novell acquired last year, has been designed to work with SuSE Linux Desktop and SuSE Linux 9.0.

Chris Stone, vice chairman, office of the chief executive, at Novell, said: "Linux offers IT organisations new opportunities to control their future.
"With the delivery of Ximian Desktop 2, now for SuSE Linux Desktop and SuSE 9.0, Novell provides the most complete and usable open source desktop offering available."
