Natwest Bank has signed up NCR in a #50 million-plus contract to provide service and support for its entire cash machine network and branch IT equipment.
NCR will look after more than 2,800 cash machines and 100,000 other pieces of hardware located in branches around the UK. As part of the deal, NCR will set up a dedicated ATM monitoring centre to conduct remote diagnostics and proactive fault detection.
"By consolidating our equipment maintenance with one strategic supplier we can keep customer service at a constantly high level across the network through faster rectification of problems. It will also ease management overheads and reduce overall costs," said Mark Sandham, head of IT commercial services at Natwest.
