3Com plans to launch software to allow network administrators to turn on and tinker with PCs remotely.
The idea is that updates and problem solving can be performed across networks using network interface cards (NICs), without the need to visit each PC in turn. 3Com is set to release the software in the autumn, along with tweaks to speed up its networking products and provide networking statistics.
