Replay Networks, the personalised TV service provider, received a celebrity endorsement in the shape of Pamela Anderson Lee during the Consumer Electronics Show.
The actress, former star of Baywatch, confessed that she couldn't operate her VCR and said she was completely "blown away" by the Replay TV service.
Replay TV, a competitor to the Tivo personal TV service, allows users to find and record programmes and watch them on demand using a tapeless digital recorder. Viewers can pause, rewind and fast forward live broadcasts.
Anderson Lee said: "I'm not really a gadget girl so this is good for me. I usually miss everything I want to see." "I think the service is great and really important," she added. It can be so confusing to find things on all the channels, but with this you can tape or find the show you want to watch."
The actress also said that her rock star husband, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, would be envious that she was at CES. "My husband is the ultimate gizmologist, he is really into all the latest technology and wants all the latest gadgets," she added.
