International telecoms carrier KPNQwest has filed to go public and plans to use the funds to expand its European operations.
KPNQwest is a joint venture between US based Qwest and Dutch operator, KPN. It was formed last November and is building a n 81,000 mile pan European IP network.
Jack McMaster, KPNQwest’s chief executive, said: "Both KPN and Qwest have authorised management to initiate an initial public offering of KPNQwest. We intend to get started on that task immediately."
