Microsoft is to acquire a minority stake in high speed networking supplier, Rhythms Net Connections, for $30 million.
The company combines high speed local access with managed local and wide area networks, and as part of the deal, its customers will gain access to Microsoft services including Hotmail, Passport and MSN Search.
