DRAM theft is on the increase again, according to reports from Taiwan. According to a source at a major memory manufacturer on the island, last Friday $6 million worth of 16Mb SIMMs was stolen from a bonded warehouse owned by LG Semicon and Hyundai. From there, the goods are believed to have gone to China.
The source also said that a large number of OEM products was stolen from Taiwanese company TSMC, under the Fujitsu brand. PROMOS also had product stolen on Tuesday under the Siemens brand.
