Grisoft sells security packages for Windows and Linux mostly for small businesses and home users.
Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital, the vendor's investment arm, said: "Under the terms of the strategic co-operation agreement with Grisoft, Intel will help Grisoft improve security on computing platforms for small businesses and consumers."
Grisoft has around 25 million users running its software worldwide, and is expected to use the cash to continue overseas development.
Under the agreement Intel Capital will provide Grisoft with help in reaching new customers and optimising its security software.
