Intel's Mobile Data Initiative (MDI), which threatens manufacturers of PC Cards with extinction, is to be extended from Europe to the US, the company announced today.
Intel will work with Pacbell, Bell South, Omnipoint and a slate of hardware and software vendors including Microsoft, Compaq, IBM and Toshiba.
The European scheme was unveiled earlier this year at the Cebit show (see Newswire reports).
