Vodafone has won a controlling stake in Libertel, the Dutch mobile operator. The UK supplier already owned 35 per cent in the company which controls Libertel BV, the Dutch GSM network operator, and Liberfone, its service provider. Vodafone now controls 61.5 per cent of the company with Dutch bank, ING owning 38.5 per cent.
