Transarc is integrating the Object Transaction Service (OTS) of its Encina transaction processing monitor with Iona?s Orbix object request broker, as a means of making OTS Corba-compliant. The joint offering will enable users to undertake distributed object transactions over the Internet or intranet and will be sold by both parties. It is now in limited beta and supports Sun?s Solaris, HP/UX, IBM?s AIX and Microsoft?s Windows NT.
