Vodafone Airtouch and Casio Computer have joined forces to bring wireless Internet content and services to palmtop computers.
The lightweight device will give consumers colour Internet access complete with stereo audio and video capabilities.
The device, which includes a personal organiser feature and an in-built camera, will allow users to send and receive email and multmedia e-cards, and download music and video clips.
The first device is expected to ship this autumn and will connect to a digital mobile handset that will act as a data wireless modem. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the devices are unlikely to come cheap given the features.
