
Apple's future looks rosier thanks to the iMac
Apple has announced its fourth profitable quarter in a row, marking its first profitable year in three years. Revenues were $1.6 billion (#936 million) and earnings $106 million (#62 million). The company acknowledged that the iMac was key to the results, shipping 278,000 units in its first six weeks. Apple also claims that over 40% of iMac buyers are new Apple customers, 12.5% of whom are converts from Windows.
