IBM is targeting small and medium sized businesses with a shrink wrapped outsourcing package for the AS/400 platform.
The service, called Midrange Express, will be available from Big Blue's global services unit and its partners, with offerings ranging from monitoring and help desk support, to full systems management.
Base level services include account management and daily backups. Optional support includes batch job management, disaster recovery, performance and capacity planning, system software upgrades, plus user profile administration.
