Analysts are predicting lower than expected earnings from Netscape this quarter as the company steers its way through a rocky product transition from the Navigator browser to the new Communicator, available in June.
Wall Street expects Netscape to earn nine cents a share this quarter, higher than the same quarter a year ago but three cents down on earlier predictions.
Analysts reckon the market's response to the company?s newly revamped browser, Communicator, available this June, will determine how it performs in the second half.
