IBM announced this week a 25Gbytes hard drive for desktop PCs, claiming a new record capacity for this type of product, as well as record access speeds.
It said the Deskstar 25GP was shipping to PC manufacturers now, including Gateway, Hewlett Packard, Micron and IBM itself, with channel availability in the first quarter of next year.
