Sun?s Javasoft unit plans to post a white paper on the Web early next week, laying out a future roadmap of programmes around its '100% Pure Java' initiative, which is an attempt to maintain Java?s portability and avoid different implementations of the Java Virtual Machine.
The compatibility test suite is due to go into beta by mid-March, to be unveiled at the Java One Conference in San Francisco in the first week of April. The white paper can be found on www.javasoft.com.
