ComponentSource has launched the latest version of its CD-ROM enabling software developers to buy and unlock software components via the Internet, private dial-up networks or over the phone. The three-CD pack allows customers to buy up to 1,200 components round the clock. Users can download software components, along with details of how to install them, after their credit card details and address have been verified. ComponentSource has also updated the browser technology, with new features including the ability to view, price and purchase in five major currencies, and a "What's New" button to update users on the compatibility and prerequisites for each product. Now on constant view are features such as sorting by business category, product name or vendor name, and the search facility. The CD, which is free, includes products from ComponentSource and recently joined vendors such as Southern Computer Systems, ZipAddress and VantagePoint. ComponentSource: 0800 581111.
