Ascend Communications is shipping new remote access hardware for digital subscriber line technology. The DSLTNT combines the security and routing features of Ascend's TNT remote access servers with DSL connectivity.
The 16-slot chassis will hold any combination of rate adaptive DSL, ISDN DSL and symmetric DSL cards. Network uplinks include T-1, PRI ISDN, Fast Ethernet, DS-3 and serial interface. Available now, the DSLTNT is priced starting at $8,900 (#5,562); IDSL or SDSL support is $4,000. Modules start at $4,995.
