BEA has announced the general availability of its latest WebLogic family of application development and integration tools.
The products support Java 2 Enterprise Edition, XML and emerging web services standards.
BEA claimed that its architecture offers faster development cycles by creating a central point of control for application development, integration, deployment and management.
The software suite includes WebLogic Platform 8.1, Workshop 8.1, Integration 8.1 and Portal 8.1.
The company said that there have been 17,000 downloads of the beta versions of products so far.
WebLogic Platform 8.1 includes redesigned versions of BEA's application server and Java Virtual Machine, its enterprise portal and application development framework, and its integration systems.
The products can be downloaded from www.bea.com, or customers can receive the development versions of the products at no charge for one year as part of BEA's dev2dev subscription programme.
