State-owned Telecom Finland will be offered to the market when the Finnish government sells an initial 20 per cent slice of the telco. No timetable has yet been set but the sale will value the company at up to FM20 billlion (#2.3 billion), and raise around FM4 billion. The government expects to reduce its stake in Telecom Finland to 51 per cent over time. Telecom Finland controls 80 per cent of the country's mobile telephone market and 62 per cent of international calls.
