Apple has announced it is to release version 6.0 of its AppleShare IP server package. The final version will be available in the second half of the year, while a beta is available at the company's Web site now.
AppleShare IP 6.0 will include support for Windows file sharing via the SMB protocol, a full IMAP v4 mail server with server-side search, and an enhanced Print Server with TCP/IP support. Web and FTP capabilities have also been beefed up according to Apple.
