Apple Mac users produce $26,000 more revenue every year than PC users doing similar work.
This is the claim of new research conducted by Californian firm Gistics - although it focused only on those working in creative professions, most of whom still use Macs.
Based on a three-year study of Mac OS and Microsoft NT users, Gistics found the return on investment for companies buying Macs was far higher than for those buying PCs, because of better productivity.
The full details of the report will be unveiled at the Siggraph computer show in Los Angeles today.
