The unlikely marriage of popular music and accountancy that bore the PricewaterhouseCoopers' song Your World has not gone unnoticed at rival firms. This week saw Pannell Kerr Forster take up PwC's mantle. Phil Jeffrey, a VAT expert, has joined the firm's Birmingham office as senior VAT manager. But tax is not Phil's whole life. Phil, a keen saxophonist, spends much of his time away from the office practicing with standards like The best is yet to come. And, judging by the photo here, he wants to adopt it as the PKF song. The title is inspiring. Today it's Birmingham: tomorrow it may be Baker Street (remember?) for the sax-playing VAT man.
