According to US executive search company, Christian & Timbers, Internet-related jobs are still one of the hottest properties on the market. The firm predicts demand for Internet jobs will soar 86% this year compared to last. The company estimates US companies will be seeking to fill 180,000 Internet posts over the next 12 months. But there's a flip side to the coin - a recent AT&T survey of 2,000 consumers and 500 executives in the US found few business executives are actually using the Internet to sell direct to consumers. Only 17% of those respondents who sell primarily to consumers said the Internet was an important vehicle for selling products. A fifth said they were concerned that customers were not yet ready for the Internet.
