Level 8 Systems is developing a gateway to connect the Advanced Queuing message queue function in Oracle 8 to Microsoft's Message Queue Server. This will enable transactions such as sales notifications to be exchanged asychronously between the different systems without damaging their integrity.
Oracle is also talking to IBM about developing a similar gateway to MQSeries and intends to add message queue support to its Web Application Server.
