Internet payment company Cybercash has denied rumours that is to be bought by Microsoft - or any other company.
There has been rising speculation in US financial circles that the company was in talks regarding an investment or takeover, with Microsoft an obvious candidate.
Cybercash released a statement saying that its president and chief executives "firmly state there have been no discussions of an acquisition of Cybercash".
