Angoss Software has launched its KnowledgeStudio data mining tool, which identifies relationships between data using decision trees to give a general overview of the information, and neural networks to undertake predictive modelling. The product runs under Windows NT, IBM's AS/400 and Sun Solaris and supports COM and ActiveX controls to enable users to develop custom interfaces or embed KnowledgeStudio components into their applications. It also undertakes in-place mining for Tandem's Data Mining Server and Non-Stop SQL/MX database, so customers do not need to export the data to mine it. KnowledgeStudio is due to ship early next year.
