Acquisitive system management supplier Platinum Technology will tomorrow announce its acquisition of London-based training company, Symbiosis, as part of a diversification into services.
Symbiosis specialises in Oracle and Sybase skills training, largely to the financial sector. Platinum, which has acquired more than 43 software and services companies in the past three years, will keep all of Symbiosis? 30 staff.
Richard Williams, Platinum?s general manager for UK operations, said: ?Symbiosis will add to our professional services portfolio which includes the acquisition of Xyratex.? Xyratex was set up after the management buyout of IBM?s disk drive division in the UK. It offers Internet consultancy.
