Cisco has acquired a fixed wireless technology company for around $157 million.
Clarity Wireless makes equipment that enables telcos to carry calls right up to the user's doorstep. Its tools target point-to-point and point-to-multipoint markets. It recently demonstrated its 90Mbps microwave communication system.
The two companies have been working for the past year developing wireless systems to integrate with Cisco products.
