Dell and Salesforce.com chat on tablets and Oracle
At the Chatter 2 launch event, Marc Benioff and Michael Dell liven up the OpenWorld crowd
Salesforce.com used the Oracle OpenWorld 2010 event in San Francisco this week to unveil its Chatter 2 release, aimed at offering a social networking platform for businesses.
At the launch event, Salesforce chief executive Marc Benioff was joined on stage by Michael Dell to discuss the firm’s tablet plans and cloud computing provisions.
The event also gave Benioff a chance to have an amusing dig at Oracle chief executive Larry Ellison, in response to his Sunday night OpenWorld keynote speech. The giant machines referred to in this video are the new Oracle Exadata and Exalogic releases.
