The share prices of financial services organisations are suffering because they disclose too little financial information to the market, according to a PricewaterhouseCoopers study. Only 20% of investors, 23% of bank analysts and 11% of insurance analysts considered the companies very open with their disclosure policies. By contrast, 38% of European bank executives and 69% of insurance companies said their disclosure policies were very open, according to the firm.
