Disney is expected to announce that its fee based online service for children, Daily Blast, will run on Apple Macintoshes - including the latest Imacs.
The Daily Blast service is not available in the UK and Disney was unavailable for comment on plans to launch it here. The service is only compatible with Microsoft Windows and both companies declined to comment on rumours that Daily Blast will be ported to Macs later this month.
Many Macintosh users were surprised when Disney launched Daily Blast last March exclusively for Microsoft Windows systems because Disney and Apple are both strong in the educational market. Disney blamed Apple at the time, saying that many of the plug-ins it was using were not Mac-compatible.
