Electronic commerce will get a personal touch following the announcement that PhoneMe and DataCash are to resell each other's products, providing a solution that integrates DataCash's payment gateway solution with PhoneMe's Internet-enabled freephone call-back service. PhoneMe's system allows Web site users to enter a phone number and receive an instant call-back from a sales representative, providing instant advice or reassurance about an online purchase. DataCash's secure payment gateway allows retailers to process credit and debit card transactions online or via a call centre back end. The user does not have to download any plug-ins for the PhoneMe service and can arrange for the call-back to be delayed.
