Compaq has announced a new support package called Multivendor Software Support for Client/Server Microsoft Environments. Targeted at mid-size companies, it comprises 25 server callouts plus an additional 20 hours of end-user support covering the most popular desktop applications. Server support is Monday to Friday, nine hours a day, and covers Windows NT in either stand-alone or multivendor environment, including OpenVMS, Unix and Novell, as well as access to Microsoft Technet. IT managers also receive 20 rechargeable one-hour helpline support cards for end users. The package costs #6,995 and is available immediately.
