Lotus has delayed the release of its public beta of the next version of its groupware product, Notes and Domino 5.0, because some features are not working sufficiently well. The delay, of about two months, could affect the release date of the finished version, which was originally slated to ship by the end of this year. Problems are thought to be mostly in the Notes user interface. A small beta release to a select group of customers has already taken place.
