Leeds United has become the first football club to offer highlights on the Internet, through Internet Service Provider Planet Online.
Peter Wilkinson, MD of Planet Online parent Integrated Technology Europe, is a life-long Leeds fan and Planet has begun using Apple Computer?s Quick Time movie viewer technology to show goals from recent Leeds games, as far back as the team?s 1-0 win over Manchester United in September.
Sources said Leeds and Planet plan to charge for video content in the future but the service is free for a trial period at the club?s official Web site, www.lufc.co.uk.
