IBM has introduced a native version of Netscape Navigator for OS/2 as part of its continuing support for the alternative operating system.
Netscape for OS/2 will work on Warp 4, Warp 3 and OS/2 Warp Connect and IBM is offering a free download from the Netscape site. IBM said it will continue to develop native OS/2 versions of upgrades including version 4.0, code-named Communicator.
Work is also likely to continue on IBM's own version of Internet browser, a spokesperson confirmed.
