Telecomms provided the biggest growth for services company Logica, which announced its year end results yesterday. Logica's telecomms business grew by 65 per cent to #51.1 million. Pre-tax profits rose 14 per cent to #28.1 million on turnover of #338.5 million. Earnings per share also increased by 14 per cent to 31 pence while order intake was up 26 per cent.
The finance sector, Logica's traditional playground, saw modest growth of 13 per cent to #108.9 million.
