Newsquest Media Group, the largest publisher of regional newspapers in England, has bought a Great Plains financial management system to run its accounts. The company invested #100,000 in the new software, which will be used by 120 workers in the firm's accounts department. Newsquest wanted to upgrade because its old accounting system, running on a mainframe, was not year 2000 compliant. Deloitte & Touche Management Solutions installed the new system.
